Why Did You Decide to Become an Orthodontist?
The first time Dr. Alkhoury thought about becoming an orthodontist was when he was 17 years old. His sister needed braces for her crooked teeth, and this simple service had a big impact on her quality of life. Before, she’d always been extremely self-conscious about smiling and sometimes even talking. Dr. Alkhoury witnessed her whole personality change firsthand, and it was truly a profound experience. Today, he believes that this is where his passion for the field stemmed from!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Alkhoury attended Boston University for his Doctor of Dental Medicine, graduating with honors. He then underwent his Residency in Advanced Education in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics at New York University. He is a current member of the following organizations:
- American Dental Association
