3-D imaging technology allows for CT scans and x-rays of the entire face and jaw. It provides safe, high-resolution, 3-D images in seconds for faster diagnosis and more accurate treatment plans.
The WaterLase® dental laser from BIOLASE is used to cut teeth, bone, and gum tissue without the discomfort or vibration of a regular dental drill or the need for a scalpel. Without the friction from a drill, there is no heat and ultimately no pain, resulting in less anesthetic used for a more accurate and minimally traumatic result.
This is a simple procedure where hydrochloric acid and pumice are used to gently smooth off spots, stains, and discolorations from your teeth.
A small, pen-like camera is used to take digital pictures of the hardest to reach places in your mouth. The images are displayed on a chairside computer screen for a faster, more accurate diagnosis.
A laser diode is used to detect cavities at their earliest stage, resulting in far less damage from decay and therefore smaller fillings.
With digital radiography, there is no need to wait for film development and mounting. Images are put up on a computer screen for easy viewing and enlargement, allowing for patient involvement in co-diagnosis. Digital x-rays also reduce radiation exposure by up to 90 percent.
